On wednesday november 6th Nijmegen for Palestine is organising a charity evening for Palestine in collaboration with café de Opstand. The ongoing genocide caused by Israel is heartbreaking and the suffering of the Palestinians is immense.

🍉This evening we give the stage to David Rovics, who wrote several songs about Palestine and the genocide taking place there.

🍉We will also listen to a few poems by Amal Karam. Daughter of Palestinian parents and grew up in Lebanon. She won the El Hizjra Literature Prize in 2012.

🍉And also to a few songs from TR33. A Dutch-American singer, who uses her powerful voice ro raise awareness about global humanitarian issues.

Entrance is a donation. All donations go the Palestinian Medical Relief Society (through the Kifaia Foundation). We hope to see you all there. Free Palestine!

Op woensdag 6 november organiseert Nijmegen for Palestine in samenwerking met café de Opstand een benefietavond voor Palestina. De aanhoudende genocide door Israël is hartverscheurend en het lijden van de Palestijnen immens. Deze avond geven we het podium aan David Rovics, die verschillende liederen schreef over Palestina en de genocide die daar plaatsvindt. Voor David kunnen we luisteren naar een aantal gedichten van Amal Karam. Dochter van Palestijnse ouders en opgegroeid in Libanon. Ze won in 2012 de El Hizjra Literatuurprijs. En naar een aantal songs van TR33. Een Nederlands-Amerikaanse zangeres, die haar krachtige stem gebruikt om bewustzijn te creëren over wereldwijde humanitaire problemen. Entree is een donatie.
