CUT TIES WITH GENOCIDE
‼️YOUR RIGHT TO PROTEST

‼️Another two months have passed, and the Genocide in Palestine is still ongoing. The UvA is still collaborating with Israeli academic institutions, and these institutions are still systematically complicit in Israel’s human rights violations.
🔴 Negotiations between the FNV labor union and the executive board have come to a halt. Workers demand a broadening of the right to demonstrate at the UvA, an independent evaluation body for third party collaborations and a pause on all ongoing collaborations with Israeli academic institutions until reviewed.
‼️ The executive board, however, says they are already doing what workers want them to do and sees no need to further negotiate with the FNV. In the past 60 days, we have witnessed yet more massacres against Palestinians, rape being weaponized against Palestinian prisoners as well as more genocidal discourse by politicians.
🔴 All this, while the summer break stifled our ability to protest the UvA’s complicity. The new academic year will be marked with solidarity for Palestine and in protest of the UvA’s so far unwavering collaboration with Israeli academic institutions.
‼️Join us on Friday September 6th at Roeterseiland to raise our voices and stand with Palestine, against complicity in genocide and our right to protest as students, workers and academics.
