75 years of Nakba in Palestine, 75 years of Palestinian resistance!

JOIN US on May 15 as we mark Nakba Day with an action on UU Science Park and University College Utrecht.

📍 Science Park Library 🕛 12.00 - We will read our demands, display our banner, hand out flyers and talk to people in order to inform and mobilize.
📍 UCU 🕝 2:30 - We will sit down with our banner, flags and flyers and you can approach us for information about our university's complicity in Israeli apartheid.

The Nakba (Arabic for "catastrophe") is an ongoing process of colonization of Palestinian land and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people. Since its start in 1948, Palestinians have bravely resisted this injustice in myriad ways. As the Occupation's warplanes bomb Gaza, its soldiers raid the West Bank, and its lawmakers deny millions the right to return and self-determination, Palestinians fight for freedom.

USP, together with comrades in the student movement, push for cutting all our university's ties Israeli colonialism and apartheid. We demand:

⚫ Recognise Zionism as a racist, settler-colonial ideology & recognise Palestinian resistance efforts as a legitimate and decolonial.
⚪ Publicly endorse Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS), and immediately cut its many ties with Israeli institutions.
🟢 Fully comply with the Freedom of Information Act (Weten open overheid, Woo) requests lodged by our movement into links with Israeli institutions and pro-Israel lobby groups.
🔴 Cease the censorship and securitization of students and scholars organising for Palestine and campaigns for BDS.
